Born in Parma in 1974, Giacomo Cossio has established himself as a distinctive voice in the contemporary art scene. He graduated with a degree in Architecture from the University of Ferrara, a background that has profoundly influenced his artistic practice. Cossio’s work is characterised by intricate collages that blend diverse materials such as photographs, foam, synthetic flowers, and metal sheets. These elements are meticulously assembled to create evocative pieces that challenge conventional notions of landscape and still life.

Cossio’s work traverse a spectrum of themes, from artificial landscapes to innovative reinterpretations of classic still lifes. His work often delves into the industrial world, deconstructing and reconstructing machines, bulldozers, and excavators.
